For planning purposes, please refer to the following outline of expected works. This guide is intended to assist you in preparing for the plumbing works and may be adjusted slightly to suit your specific needs. Our plumber will be on hand to support you throughout the entire process, so you can rest assured that you are in good hands.
The Trades Needed for a Bathroom Renovation Include:
Plumber
Plumbing Works - Demo/Drainage:
- Remove existing bathtub, shower, toilet, vanity and tap wear
- Cut floor to prepare for new drainage
- Lay new drainage
- Patch concrete
Note: It is a mandatory requirement for any new drainage concreting areas to have termite control completed prior to tiling.
Plumbing Works - Rough In:
- Run new water supply to bathtub, shower, toilet and basin
Note: Prior to Stage 3 Fit Out, ensure the following has been completed:
- Walls are sheeted
- Waterproofing is completed
- Tiling is completed
- Shower screen is installed
- Bathtub frame has been built (hob baths only)
Plumbing Works - Fit Out:
- Install new bathtub, bath taps, shower taps, basin, and toilet
- Submit Notifiable Work (Form 4) to QBCC
Note: If the bath is fixed to the wall and has a hob, the bath installation will require additional coordination.
